Flat Stock 82 Hamburg registration is CLOSED!

SEE YOU IN HAMBURG!

Flatstock (and the Reeperbahn Festival) will be running from September 21 until 24, Wednesday until Saturday.
Opening hours will be 2 pm until 22 pm.

This is an outdoor event, located at the "Reeperbahn Festival Village" on the Heiligengeistfeld, close to the „St. Pauli“ subway station.
Our part of the „village“ is open to the public, no festival wristbands needed.

We have 3x3 m tents, with wooden floors (Pagoda style), like last year.
The booth fee includes the tent, one table, two chairs, cateringt (!) and crisp walls for your precious posters,
as well as two festival wristbands per booth.

This year we are limited to 24 single booths, therefore the number of doubles is limited.
Whoever registers and pays for 2 spaces first, is in.
Shared 3 x 3 m spaces are also available. If splitting a space, please indicate with whom, when you register.

Registrations in excess of our 24 spaces will go on a wait list, in the order they are received.

Once you have registered you must return a signed contract and payment no later than September 1st.
Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your space, and a happy surprise for someone on the wait list.

Single booth: 250 EUR
Double booth: 500 EUR

Remember, Flatstock is open to API members only. If you aren't one currently or if you need to renew your membership, please do so before registration.
PLEASE only register for Flatstock if you definitely plan on coming, and will be present in your tent for the full four days.

So far, we expect no Corona restriction, RBF plans with full capacity.

Flatstock 80 Chicago Registration is OPEN

Hello API members!

Flatstock 80 will be taking place at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, July 15-17th, 2022 This is an outdoor event. We will be located in tents along the Eastern end of Washington Ave., in Union Park, as usual. This year the festival is requiring proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test within 72 hours of the festival. Vaccine verification by presenting your CDC white card vaccination record. They will check verification at the gates (this goes for all people in the park).

Registration will open May 27tth, at 2PM Central Standard Time. Registration is accessible to current API members only, and you must log on to www.americanposterinstitute.com to register.

The registration fee for a 10’ x 10' tent space is $450. The booth fee includes tent, table, chairs, and plastic netting to display your work.

This year we have allotted 44 10’ x 10' spaces. A limited number of doubles will be available to those who register and pay for 2 spaces first. Shared 10’ x 10' spaces are also available. If splitting a space, please indicate with whom, when you register.

PLEASE only register for Flatstock if you definitely plan on coming, and will be present in your tent for the full three days.

Registrations in excess of our 44 spaces will go on a wait list, in the order they are received.

You must have a festival pass or vendor credentials to enter the festival grounds and Flatstock.

Each 10’ x 10' single space includes vendor admission for TWO persons TOTAL (4 for a double), Friday-Saturday-Sunday. For shared single spaces each artist gets 1 pass. For you, only. Any other helpers need to buy a ticket.

Once you have registered you must return a signed contract, signed liability waiver, and payment no later than June 17th. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your space.

Flatstock 79 at Primavera Sound in Barcelona REGISTRATION IS OPEN

Presented by the American Poster Institute in conjunction with Primavera Sound S.L., Flatstock 79 will be held at Primavera Sound, June 2-4 / 9-11, 2022 at the Parc del Fòrum from 4pm to 3am.

Load in will be on the 2nd and 9th starting at 10am. Flatstock 79 will be on the Parc del Fòrum grounds in Barcelona, Spain.

For individual weekends there will be single booths at a cost of 250€ and 400€ for a double.

The cost for both weekends will be: single booths at a cost of 350€ and 600€ for a double.

Please note hours of operation are 4PM until 3AM for all three days of Flatstock each weekend. With your paid booth fee you will receive two (2) passes good for the duration of the festival both weekends.

By purchasing a booth you are allowed to sell original commissioned gig poster art and art created by your studio ONLY. You may not sell pre-recorded music, or other non-studio related materials. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. Failure to abide by these guidelines can result in ejection from the event.

Flatstock 76 in Mexico City, Mexico is CLOSED

Flatstock 76 will be happening Nov 20/21, 2021 at https://www.coronacapital.com.mx -- it has operated under the name Afiche Fetiche for the last 4 festivals and we are now making it an official API / Flatstock event.

Registration is only open to current API members.
There will be a total of 10 tents measuring 10'x20' and each tent will be split in two between 2 studios (like Chicago) for a total of 20 spots.
The cost of the booth is ZERO!
However, the economy of Mexico means you will be selling your posters for $400-$500 pesos or $20 - $25 US. You can mark some posters for higher cost but there is not a huge audience for expensive posters. Govt regulations to fight counterfeit bills means that payment will be done through wristbands and readers. You can accept cash at your own risk. Arrangements are being made to pay out artists after the festival closes or the next day.
A basic knowledge of Spanish will get you a long way but we will have some helpers around to translate as needed.
Covid is still very active in Mexico. Covid requirements TBA
Additional notes: we recommend you find an AirBNB in the Roma Norte neighborhood - especially near Parque Mexico and Parque Espana. Shuttle vans will take us to and from the festival so the closer we all are together the easier/faster the experience.
The weather is usually mild - pants and tshirt during the day and sweater and light jacket at night. There are a lot of fun things to do around Mexico CIty and we'll fill you on those later but make sure you have Uber app to get around because taxis can be... unreliable and possibly unsafe.

Flatstock 75 Hamburg Registration is CLOSED!


REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. SEE YOU IN HAMBURG!

It’s the return of Flatstock to the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg, from Wednesday, September 22 until Saturday, September 25 2021.
Registration will open on Wednesday, September 1, at 8:00 pm Central European Time (11 a.m. PDT, noon EDT).
This year, Flatstock will be placed in the so called "Festival Village", located at the southern tip of the Heiligengeistfeld, close to the U-Bahn exit St. Pauli.
The Festival Village will also host other art installations, the festival ticketing containers and an outdoor stage, so traffic is guaranteed.
However, as this is new ground for all of us, we decided to reduce the booth fees significantly for this year:
The fee for a 3 x 3 m tent space (single) will be 100 EUR and 200 EUR for a double.
The booth fee includes tent, table, 2 chairs, and crisp walls for your precious posters.
Shared 3 x 3 m spaces are also available. If splitting a space, please indicate with whom, when you register.
IMPORTANT: Reeperbahn Festival will employ the 3G rule („Geimpft, genesen, getestet“),
Only people, who are fully vaccinated, recovered or can provide a negative C
covid test not older than 24 hours are allowed into the festival village.

Flatstock 46 Registration is OPEN!

Presented by the American Poster Institute in conjunction with Bumbershoot Music Festival, Flatstock 46 will be held August 30, 31st & September 1st in Seattle, Washington.

The registration fee for a 8'x4' booth space is $320. The booth fee includes walls to display your wares, a table & 2 chairs. Double booths are available just make sure to pay with the double booth paypal button below.

We are limited to only 33 spaces so PLEASE pay for your booth ASAP to secure your space. Registration will not be final until the API receives your full payment.

Registrations in excess of of our 33 spaces will go on a wait list, in the order they are received. If you don't get in at first, please don't stomp off in a huff, get yourself on that list. Multiple artists come in from the wait list every year.

You must have a festival pass or vendor credentials to enter the festival grounds and Flatstock.
