Registration for Flatstock 63 Raleigh is OPEN!

Presented by the American Poster Institute in conjunction with Hopscotch Music Fest, Flatstock FS63 will be held at Hopscotch Music Fest, September 7th-10th, 2017. The exhibit will be held in the Raleigh Convention Center. The main hub of the fest then at night we will have satellite booths set up in the plazas where the big shows happen, the after hour sales will be optional.

Flatstock 63 will be in the Raleigh Convention Center in a set up similar to Flatstock in Austin at SXSW. Registration is open to all current API accredited professionals.

Single booths are $300 for a 10’x10′ space or $550 for a double space of 20’x10′. With your paid booth fee you will receive two (2) passes per booth purchased.

Hallo! Here we go again!

We only have 36 single booths (or 18 double booths) available this time, so hurry up!

Flatstock is open to API members only. If you aren’t one currently or if you need to renew your membership, please do so before registration.
Also, as per our new registration rules you won’t be considered registered until you have paid. If you have not paid by Friday, July 28thyour booth may be given to the next person in line if all other booths are already filled. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience but these are new precautions we have been forced to take on in order to fulfill our financial obligations to the event organizers.

Flatstock (and the Reeperbahn Festival) will be running from September 20 until 23, Wednesday until Saturday, as usual outdoors on the Spielbudenplatz, right off the Reeperbahn.
Opening hours will be 2 pm until 12 am.

We are still working on a potential opening party, which would be on tuesday September 19. More infos on this later.

On Sunday September 24, as usual, we will have some after-show-extravaganza going on, that you don’t wanna miss.
Until the majority of participants say, stop it already, I have seen enough of Hamburg harbor,
it will include a boat ride through the harbor, food and drinks.
It’s the best place to have a relaxed chat with your fellow poster artists, so keep that in mind for your travel itineraries.

Flatstock 62 Seattle at Bumbershoot Registration is OPEN!

Who: API members!

What: Flatstock 62 Poster Exhibition

Where: Bumbershoot Music Festival – Seattle, WA (Seattle Center Armory)

When: September 1, 2, 3 (Bumbershoot Festival) & 4 (free day to the public)

Friday-Sunday: 1pm – 9pm and Monday 10am – 6pm

Why: 
As with last year, the Bumbershoot music festival runs Friday through Sunday.  Monday (Labor Day) will be an “Open to the Public” FREE day for locals to attend.  We are working with local indie station KEXP and Northwest Polite Society (marketing company) to secure some underwriting and advertising specifically to get the word out to the public about this day that may be too expensive for people which love attending Flatstock, but can’t afford to go to Bumbershoot.  Think families and people with money that they didn’t spend on tickets for the festival. There will also be tourists visiting the Seattle Center and Space Needle inside the building as it hosts various restaurants with food.

Security after we close has been addressed and AEG will be providing some lighting for the back of the room.

The registration fee for a single booth space is $325 and $600 for a double. The booth fee includes a Seattle Business License, table, chairs, and plastic netting to display your work.  The displays will consist of metal piping again, like last year.  Booth sizes will be 8 feet high, 6 feet deep, and 8 feet across the back with doubles being 16 feet across the back. Other vendors on the grounds are being charged $1500 for 10X10 tent space for 3 days.  If you have to travel across the country, book a hotel and incur a bunch of expenses, this may not be the show for you.

Each booth space includes vendor admission for TWO persons TOTAL (4 for a double), Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday. Your vendor pass allows you access to everything on the Seattle Center ground EXCEPT the Mainstages at Key Arena and Memorial Stadium due to these venues being occupancy driven.  If you would like to buy a pass, Bumbershoot will honor the early bird price for passes to all Flatstock vendors.

Once you have registered you must return payment no later than August 4th. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your space.

Presented by the American Poster Institute in conjunction with Pitchfork Media will be held at Pitchfork Music Festival, July 14 thru the 16th.

Flatstock 61 will be taking place at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, July 14-16, 2017. This is an outdoor event. We will be located in tents along the eastern end of Washington Ave., in Union Park, as before.

As long as you are a registered API member you may sign up to be a part of the party.

Hey guys, here’s the scoop:

Presented by the American Poster Institute in conjunction with Primavera Sound S.L., Flatstock FS60 will be held at Primavera Sound, May 31 from 6pm-12am, then June 1-3, 2017 from 5 pm to 5 am.We will be having an optional day on Wednesday for those in town and want to set up and show early for the attendees of the free, smaller scale shows happening at the Parc del Fòrum that evening.

Flatstock 60 will be on the Parc del Fòrum grounds in Barcelona, Spain. Registration is open to all current API accredited professionals.

There will be 24 total single booths at a cost of Euro 300. With your paid booth fee you will receive two (2) passes good for the duration of the festival.

Flatstock 59 at SXSW in Austin Registration is now CLOSED!

Flatstock 59, hosted by API and South  By South West, will take place in Austin, Texas Thursday, March 16  through Saturday, March 18, 2017 (Load-in Thursday morning and load-out Sat evening).

Flatstock participation is only available to API members.

If you are not a member and would like to apply please register for an annual membership HERE.

Flatstock is an exhibition of concert posters and the artwork that celebrates the history, tradition and craft that is ‘rock art’. There is room for studios to share and display their personal work as well and non music related posters as long as the legitimate, commissioned concert posters are at least 70% of each studio’s display for the duration of the event. The API has very few steadfast rules and the “70/30” one is it. PLEASE respect this and honor the very foundation Flatstock was established on over a decade ago. If your shop is found not honoring this agreement you will not be asked back and there are no refunds.

Booth Fees are:

10’x10’ — $340.00

20’x10’ — $520.00

20’x10’ Premium End Cap — $640.00

Flatstock 58 in Hamburg – registration is closed!

Hallo Poster People!
Flatstock 58 will take place September 21st-24th 2016 in Hamburg, Germany, as part of the Reeperbahn Festival. For four days we will take over the Reeperbahn District and show the festival goers and random miscreants what real gigposters look like.

Opening hours:  Sept. 21–24, 2 p.m. to 12 a.m.

The registration fee for a single booth space is 200€ and 400€ for a double booth. The booth fee includes walls to display your wares, a table & 2 chairs. Double booths are available while space lasts.

You must be a current API Member in order to partake in the fun so if you are current, register below:

Hello API members!

 

Flatstock 56 will be taking place at the Bumbershoot Music Festival in Seattle, WA from Friday September 2nd – Monday September 5th, 2016. This is an indoor event and after many years back in the Armory Food Court, we have been relocated to the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall just north of the Fountain.  Hours are Fri-Sun 1pm – 9pm and Monday 10am – 6pm.  There will be a dance stage and other visual arts programming in the room with us.

I’m working with Eric Carnell to do some events leading up to Labor Day weekend (week of) that may include a silk screen panel and gallery show for all the artists involved.

 

Registration will open Monday – June 27th, at 2PM Central Standard Time. Registration is accessible to current API members only, and you must log on to www.americanposterinstitute.com to register.

 

The registration fee for a single booth space is $375 and $700 for a double. The booth fee includes a table, chairs, and plastic netting to display your work.  The displays will consist of metal piping again, like last year.  Booth sizes will be 8 feet high, 6 feet deep, and 8 feet across the back with doubles being 16 feet across the back.

 

We are relying that at least 40 studios participate this year.  If you’ve ever been on the fence about coming to a Seattle Flatstock, this is your year with 4 days of sales in front of you along with a decent price for your booth.  Other vendors on the grounds are being charged $1500 for 10X10 tent space for 3 days.  After 40 artists/studios have registered, there will be a wait list.
PLEASE only register for Flatstock if you definitely plan on coming, and will be present at your booth for the full four days.
