WELCOME
The American Poster Institute is a non-profit corporation dedicated to furthering public awareness and appreciation of the poster art form. It is committed to supporting the community of artists creating entertainment-related posters, to fostering interaction and communication between the artists, and to constantly improving standards in the field. The API will endeavor to maintain an FAQ-type website for information exchange and sharing. Additionally, it will continue to organize poster exhibitions and shows, such as the API's FLATSTOCK series, in order to provide live opportunities for its Accredited Professionals, its Supporters, and the public at large to interface.

Flatstock 40 Chicago Registration is Open REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Flatstock 40 will be taking place at the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago, July 19-21, 2013.
This is an outdoor event. We will be located in tents along the eastern end of Washington Ave., in Union Park, as before.
The registration fee for a 10x10' tent space is $425. The booth fee includes tent, table, chairs, and cardboard panels to display your work.
We are limited to only 43 10x10' spaces. We will certainly have at least that many registrants. You're free to request a double space, but you won't get it.
Shared 10x10' spaces are available and encouraged. If splitting a space, please indicate with whom, when you register. If you don't have a partner in mind, we can help pair you up.
PLEASE only register for Flatstock if you definitely plan on coming, and will be present in your tent for the full three days.
Registrations in excess of of our 43 spaces will go on a wait list, in the order they are received. If you don't get in at first, please don't stomp off in a huff, get yourself on that list. Multiple artists come in off the wait list, every year.
You must have a festival pass or vendor credentials to enter the festival grounds and Flatstock.
Each 10x10' single space includes vendor admission for TWO persons TOTAL, Friday-Saturday-Sunday.
That means, for shared singles, you each get 1 pass. For you, only. Any other helpers need to buy a ticket.
Once you have registered you must return a signed contract, signed liability waiver, and payment no later than June 1st. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of your space, and a happy surprise for someone on the wait list.

Registration will open Sunday May 5thth, at 2PM Central Standard Time. Registration is accessible to current API members only, and you must logon to www.americanposterinstitute.com to register.

Flatstock 39 Registration is open Registration for Flatstock 39 Barcelona, Spain is open.

Flatstock Barcelona will be held in conjunction with the Primavera Music Festival scheduled for May 22nd-26th, 2013 at Pare del Forum, Barcelona, Spain.
There will be 30 total single booths at a cost of Euro 195 or $255 US. Please note hours of operation are 5PM until 5AM Thursday May 23rd, Friday May 24th and Saturday May 26th.
PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST SHOWCASE 70% ROCK POSTERS TO QUALIFY FOR FLATSTOCK PARTICIPATION. YOU MUCT ALSO BE THE ARTIST THAT CREATED THE WORK. NO WHOLESALERS OR COLLECTORS WILL BE ADMITTED. PORTFOLIOS WILL BE REVIEWED AND ADMITTANCE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED IF THIS REQUIREMENT IS NOT MET.
